Summertime, crazy? More like mad!

After months and months of searching for a job in my field, I found an internship which I started two weeks ago. I'm manning the social media channels for a local company, Blue Horizon Venture Consulting, as it competes in Social Madness--which is a contest sponsored by the Jax Business Journal. Through combined efforts, we skyrocketed up the leader board and landed in the "play-offs," which is what my boss calls this round. I have learned so much about social media, networking and how a small business operates in today's tech savvy world. This has been a fantastic two, soon to be three, weeks!

In the end, we want to win this contest and gain a lot of exposure from it, but that's not all. The chosen charity that could benefit from winning this contest, is Junior Achievement. What is it exactly? It's a local organization that inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy by teaching them money management and entrepreneurial skills. Two key skills that many young people in communities across the nation could greatly benefit from. To find out how you can help further JA's mission even more, read the information below and connect with Blue Horizon Venture Consulting! We couldn't have advanced this far in Social Madness or gotten this much closer to helping Junior Achievement, without the support of our loyal fans!
